Call 911! If someone is in an emergency, no one wouldn’t go to look for a pay phone on a street in this era. Even if they looked for, it would be extremely hard to get one. Cell phone is the item which one person has at least one now. When I found myself in the middle school, I got my first cell phone, and it wasn’t that everyone has. In fact, none of my friend had one, therefore, there were no rules of cell phone use on the campus. At the time, the cell phone was only for the call. We weren’t able to play games or search online. But the situation is not really same in this environment anymore since all teens have their own cell phone with them all the time. Some schools completely ban cell phone on campus, and they will take away from them if they find them. My high school was one of them. If teachers found students used cell phone, they took away and called us after school. Some teachers didn’t give them back to students, then they called their parents t o pick it up. Banning cell phone in schools for teens is unfit in this high technology era since we are not be able to find a pay phone on the streets anymore. Instead of banning cell phone use completely, it should be allowed as a stationery. I understand that schools want to control their students’ cell phone use on school days because of cheating and distracting. In fact, there are nearly every students who use a cell phone in a classroom at least once, although it’s not always unrelated to a class use.
